Advantages Of Heater Installation Rancho Santa Fe

By Stephanie Foster

There are two basic types of AC systems. The split and packaged systems. The split system consists of the indoor and outdoor unit. The outdoor cabinet contains the compressor and condenser unit. Its important for one to know all this when getting Heater installation Rancho Santa Fe.

First, is the type of AC systems in the market, the advantage, and disadvantage of each. By considering their pros and cons, its easy for one to decide which one is more suitable their house. There are two main types, namely, the split and packaged systems. The split system is made of two parts, the indoor and outdoor cabinets. The outdoor cabinet consists of the condenser and compressor and usually sits on a concrete slab outside the house. The advantage to this type is that it has a high unit efficiency unlike the packaged unit type.

Also, the system cannot be charged with refrigerant until it has been set in place, which adds to the cost. However, not every home can accommodate duct work needed to install central air, and a split-ductless system is an option. If you already have duct work for your heating, adding a central system can cost less. The split system is the more sophisticated unit and is ideal for commercial facilities, offices and large houses.

In the packaged systems, the refrigerant units are all located in one cabinet. There a couple types of this, the windows and portable conditioners. The window conditioners recycle heated air in the room and discharge fresh cooler air inside while the exhaust vent releases the heated air on the outside and is mostly placed on a window. With portable conditioners, there is no installation needed, it is conveniently placed on the floor. The hose vent attached to the exterior wall ejects heat outside.

The size of home determines the size of the AC system to get installed. Conditioners are measured in tons or the amount of heat they can remove from a house in an hour in BTUs. A one-ton unit removes 12000 BTUs. A larger house means more cooling power. An undersized AC system will not cool the house completely and will take longer to cool and hence consume more electricity than would have been necessary. An over sized unit requires more power to operate and hence cost more and instead of cooling the room it may leave it clammy.

The second key factor is the size of the house its to be installed into. The standard unit to measure air conditioning is tons or the British Thermal Units(BTUs). One ton removes 12000 BTUs.

One last factor to consider is position to be placed. The good can be installed in various locations. Even the quietest condensers make noise, so work with your contractor to find a location that's not near a bedroom or home-office window.

The AC unit may also be noisy and therefore placing it near a bedroom or an office may be inconveniencing. Any airflow restriction may lower the unit efficiency. It is important to have these factors in mind even as one consults a contractor in order to determine the AC unit that best suits the house. People who would like to get customized goods can also do so without the need of incurring any added cost in the process.
