Accelerated Learning Options For All Types

People learn in many different ways, which means that teaching styles also need to vary. Some individuals absorb information better by verbal instruction, many need to observe the data being put into action, while others require physical involvement in order to retain the knowledge. The Accelerated Learning programs focus on these core differences and have techniques available that are designed to promote the multiple ways in which humans think.

Recent scientific studies on the functions of the human brain are what these programs are based upon. The accumulated information is utilized in the formulation of techniques that are especially geared toward each knowledge gathering style. When data is presented in a way a person identifies with, they are much more likely to retain it permanently.

One of the leading principles in these types of programs, is the understanding that people do not learn best when using just their brain. The best education involves utilizing all parts the person, including body, mind, senses, and emotions. Involving various types of input, such as color, music, images, creativity, physical activity and more, allows one to become fully immersed in the experience.

Emotion is very important to a person's ability to learn. Those with a negative disposition are going to have a difficult time absorbing information because they are filled with the sensations of being stressed, overwhelmed, and intimidated. When one is in a positive mindset, their attitude is one of excitement, comfort, and happiness, which in turn creates an acceptable environment for absorbing knowledge.

Another principle belief is that people learn on several levels simultaneously. Traditional classroom techniques try to present information in a linear fashion, but the brain is actually more receptive to receiving multiple inputs at once. By stimulating many senses at the same time, parallels are created in the mind, which connect fresh knowledge to that which one already knows, solidifying memory retention.

The belief that collaboration, not competition, is most productive to retaining new information, is one of the main principals of these programs. People are social by nature, but when they feel as though they must fight for what they learn, it becomes more about the battle, and less about retention. In contrast, when students help each other and provide feedback on the subject, all members of the group benefit from the perspectives of each member of the team, thus creating a basis for the knowledge to stick.

By nature, humans are designed to learn best when they experience new information in context. What this basically means is that by physically doing what it is one wishes to learn, the action of performing it makes it more solid in the brain. When something becomes a concrete absolute, it is more real and understandable than something that is hypothetical or abstract.

The goal of these programs is to obtain positive results for each user. They are available for individuals of all ages and educational levels including school-age children, preschoolers, college students, teachers, and adults who wish to learn for their own benefit, and the system can be implemented in schools, homes, and workplaces. Their effectiveness comes from the fact that they are created to enhance and emulate the natural knowledge retention process.
