The Benefits Of Womens Spiritual Support Groups

By Gregory Scott

Support group is good for you, even though aren t tangible the effects and benefits that are to be gained from one yield the same metaphorical results as a massage done properly. The beauty of Womens spiritual support groups is that first and foremost, it can be very practical and does not require anybody interested in one to go book a stay in the Himalayas. For example, spiritual retreats can be done in the privacy of their own home where it is safe and comfortable.

There s a misconception that spritual retreats are all about prayer and repentance and it doesn t have to be the bottomline.

It s all about personal growth of the individual partaking in the retreat. The purpose of the retreat is for the individual to grow. This can be done through a number of ways and this growth is not limited to prayer. Meditation, yoga and even some forms of martial art can be considered spiritual in their nature as they promote the use of your spirit over that of the body.

If one is adamant on travelling very far in search of spiritual enlightenment than a retreat with a destination at a very faraway endpoint is all about the journey. This not only takes the traveller out of their comfort zone but forces said traveller to look around them, pay attention to different cultures and ways of doing things, see things in a perspective they may never have considered and most importantly look around.

Prayer is not the only method in which one can use to engage and participate in at a retreat. There is also yoga, dance and meditation. But the following options are only a few of a surplus of methods that can be used in retreats.

Confidence is key or at the very least a prerequisite required to partake in a retreat. One needs to have the confidence to let go of earthly burdens such as those often found in what will people think mentalities and immerse themselves fully in the desired method chosen to assist with their retreat.

One very important thing to remember is that as people, we tend to be the most judgemental and critical not at other people but at oneselves. It is important to remember that one is human and prone to mistakes and imperfections. The purpose of one s time spent at a retreat is to uplift and renew the vows made to loving themselves, their goals and faith and not to demoralise themselves.

A retreat can be done with a number of end goals in mind but what is important to keep note of is that it should be done for oneself. It should be done with the purpose of steering away from the clutter or to find a new lease on life from within.
