The British Virgin Islands (BVI) has a written constitution. Some countries on earth have an oral constitution. The most prosperous countries on earth have constitutions. On the other hand, failed states do not have a constitution. Therefore, chaos is usually the case. The BVI constitution stipulates British Virgin Islands law. In this part of the world, there is the rule of the law. Thus, every resident has freedoms, rights, and responsibilities. Everyone is free to move from one area to another. There is also the freedom of religion. Thus, no one is forced to believe in a certain way.

There is the citizenship stipulation. This deals with the various ways of becoming a citizen in British Virgin Islands. Every country should especially have citizenship laws. There should be a clause that defines who a citizen is. It is important to note that residency and citizenship have different meanings. A person can be a resident while he is not a citizen of BVI.

A resident is a person residing in a country whether or not he is a citizen. Therefore, an individual can be a resident of one country and a citizen of another country. Citizenship can be acquired through the process of birth. Being born on BVI soil qualifies an individual as a BVI citizen. There is also citizenship by marriage.

Taxation stipulations address a wide range of issues. First and foremost, they indicate the body that is in charge of collecting taxes in British Virgin Islands. They also define people and entities that are liable to taxation. Anyone that earns an income paid by any BVI employer will need to pay BVI income taxes at the end of the day.

A person residing in BVI has plenty of freedoms. He has the freedom to worship is a way that he sees fit. There is also the freedom of movement. For there to be freedoms, there have to be responsibilities. The taxation responsibility is something that falls on the shoulders of each and every citizen and resident in BVI.

Some stipulations relate to how a business can be formed in this British jurisdiction. There are a number of business formations. There is the need to choose the right type of formation. The company is the most popular type of business formation. On one hand, there is the public limited company. On the other hand, there is a private company.

A company is a popular type of business formation. That is because a company is considered as a separate legal entity from the shareholders. Thus, there is no way that the shareholders can be individually liable for the obligations of the company. Incorporating a company in British Virgin Islands is an easy and straightforward process. It merely requires a number of hours.

Laws exist for a reason. Thus, they should be respected to the letter. There are stipulations that govern the relations between people. Therefore, they make people to be able to coexist in a peaceful manner. If that is the case, there will be prosperity. Some stipulations relate to businesses. Actual, business conflicts are not rare. They are very common.
